Community Corner

A huge thank you to the Nashua Public Library for hosting Trivia Night with us at the end of September! We had a great time, learned a lot, and made new friends.

Remembering Gloria

On October 29, 2025 one of the Community Center's founders, Gloria Timmons, passed away. Gloria spent decades serving Nashua in various roles through her work as a School Board member, starting the NAACP chapter in Nashua, and on Board of Alderman. She was an intelligent, warm, strong and caring woman who was always there for her friends, family, and community. The Community Center is honored to be named after her.

On November 17th, 2026 from 12pm-1pm, the United and Inclusive Arts Group is calling people together to discuss what Nashua means to them and to tell the story of who Gloria was to you. This is a multimedia arts project that will be displayed at our 10-year anniversary celebration next October. If you have any questions, please reach out to ui.artsgroup@gmail.com or asccnashua@gmail.com.

Please note that as a part of our rebranding as the Gloria Timmons Community Center, we will be switching over to a new website in December. In our November Newsletter we will ask if you want to be kept on our email list as we make this switch, so please keep an eye out for that. Thank you and see you soon!
