The ASCC is changing its name to the Gloria Timmons Community Center; however, our mission stays the same. Please be patient with us as we undergo this change.

Come by our center this month for our free fun activities! We hope to see everyone there. For Public Health Week, we are hosting a free Qi Gong class on April 8th from 10-11am . This is the practice of focused movement, breath work, intention, and practice. Adults and teens are welcome to register below. Public Health Week at the ASCC April 9th 4-6pm https://forms.gle/LNmnrioKiS1gBGy17 Our neighbors at the Huffle House Library are hosting a free fun family event April 3rd. Parking is available at the ASCC if you would be able to join. Join us for our Free Art Nights every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm. This class is suitable for all ages. Meet the team!! 🌟
We have some new additions to our team and we are so excited to serve Nashua together 🫶

Marinely: Our Children's Program Assistant is bilingual in English and Spanish 🧡. Fun fact 🙂I’m passionate about helping kids, volunteering in my community, and enjoying the outdoors. When I’m not at a community event, you’ll find me gardening, dancing, or spending quality time with family and friends 🌿✨.
I love staying active sometimes running, sometimes jogging, and sometimes just enjoying a walk in the park. Email Marinely at abudm@nashuanh.gov.

Anya: Serving as our Americorps VISTA 2025-2026 💙. Anya specializes in our marketing and online presence. She is passionate about collaborations creating community-focused solutions that make a difference. When Anya isn't at the Center you can find her with her black lab, Eddy, or skiing on the slopes 🏔. Manisha: Our first ever Children's Program Coordinator since 2024 💛. She leads our children's and families activities and initiatives. She is passionate about providing accessible opportunities for different families and children of all ages. When she's not at the Center you can find her trying new vegan recipes or volunteering in our community 🌱. You can reach her at chourasiam@nashuanh.gov.

Jessica: Has been our Executive Director since 2022 💚. Jessica is passionate about building social capital and creating equitable opportunities for positive relationships building between neighbors and resources. When she's not at the Center you can find her hiking or chilling with her cat, Sushi 🐈‍⬛️. You can reach Jessica at haggj@nashuanh.gov.

On October 29th, Nashua lost Gloria J. Timmons - a fierce advocate, friend, and founder of the Center. From day one, Gloria was an integral part of bringing the center to fruition. She understood the importance of community and her life of service was evident of that. Her mission was to serve and support the underrepresented in Nashua, and the Center is beyond honored to be a part of her legacy. She was always the first to volunteer to help with programs or events, especially with being our resident photographer. She made time to connect with others and put their needs before her own. Simply put, the center wouldn't be where it is today without her. We are overwhelmed with gratitude to continue her work to honor her presence in Nashua now and forever.

On September 20th, the Nashua Fatherhood Group and ASCC hosted a free family apple-picking event at Parlee Farms — and it was a huge success🍎🍏! Over 130 community members joined us for a fun day outdoors. A big thank-you to @parleefarms for welcoming us and to @nhcfoundation for funding this event. Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out for some Fall fun 🍂!

Don't forget Food Systems Day 2025 is this Thursday from 4pm-6pm 🌎. The first 35 families receive an amazing gift basket filled with local goodies 🤩. Don't miss out!

RAIN OR SHINE ☀️☔️ We hope to see you at our second annual Family Day in the Park event this Saturday from 11am-2pm at Sargent Park.
Featuring free games, community partners, prizes, and fun for the whole family! 🎉

We want to introduce the newest addition to the ASCC Team, Manisha ✨️🍎🫶 Manisha is passionate about creating learning activities for children. She is very experienced with working with kids and has volunteered and worked with kids since 2014. She also works part time at the YMCA’s Kidstop program, and has a 3 year old son. She graduated with her bachelors degree in April 2024. Manisha is also part of Nashua Family Network Group, a group for parents that is held at ASCC and loves to attend community events! She looks forward to working with parents and kids alike at ASCC, and contributing more towards the Nashua community! 🧡

At the ASCC, we rely on and appreciate all of our volunteers for our programming and events. We want to specifically highlight our two student interns we had this year, Johan and Ariana 🥳 As the academic year comes to a close, we want to celebrate you both for being the caring, bright individuals that you are. Thank you for being role models and for your time serving families in Nashua 🧡. We are so proud of you.

Special ASCC shout-out and congratulations to Robert Ortiz! 🥳 Robert runs the Fatherhood Group here at the Center and is dedicated to our community by connecting with others to make Nashua a stronger, more united city. Robert was recently named Public Health Employee of the Year and we are so proud 💙. Thank you for all you do, Robert!

The ASCC team received the President's Community Partner Award from Rivier University today! We are so grateful to collaborate with Rivier students and faculty to benefit the Nashua community 💙
